Hostel Facility

 

Men's Hostel

Hostel facility, in two separate blocks, is available for undergraduate students. Block ‘A’ consists of 87 rooms and Block ‘B’ consists of 103 rooms, which together accommodates 250 students. Each room is well-furnished with adequate toilets and bathrooms on each floor. Water supply is maintained 24 hrs a day and hot water is supplied for bathing purpose. Electric generators are pressed into service in the event of electricity failure. A kitchen and a spacious dining hall are available for the use of the boarders.Kalpatharu Bhavana with 70 rooms serves as the hostel for postgraduate students.  The Warden, Assistant Warden and the staff manage the hostel under the supervision of the Principal.

Ladies Hostel

 

The hostel for undergraduate students consists of a spacious building with 112 rooms accommodating 240 students and 84 rooms providing accommodation to post-graduate students. The Warden, Assistant Warden and other managerial staff maintain the hostel. The hostel has a library, space for indoor games like Table Tennis and shuttle cock. A diesel generator acts as a backup in the event of electricity.

Accommodation for staff:

 

Members of both teaching and non-teaching staff are provided with accommodation in the staff quarters within the campus. A convent and school meet the educational needs of the staff’s children. Bachelors quarters are also available for interns present in the Adichunchanagiri Complex. A working women’s hostel, located in the women’s hostel complex, caters to the needs of single women.

Code of Conduct:

The inmates are governed by "code of conduct" laid down by the advisory committee, which works under the guidance of the Principal. All stringent preventive measures are taken in accordance with the guidelines of RGUHS and Govt. of Karnataka to prevent ragging in the premises.
